I often find myself looking out into the ocean, hoping to find the answers that simply aren't there. While my whistles call out far over the rippling tides, I never get a response. I shouldn't though. He is here with me.
So why do I still call? Why do I still feel so empty and unfullfilled, though I have what I want?
Maybe I'm scared. Maybe I'm scared that he will go away again. Maybe I'm scared that the aeons will forever be lost in a world of destruction and pain. Pain that I dealt them through a wave of my hand. Maybe it's Lenne. Maybe it's Shuyin. Maybe... just... maybe...
There is a connection out there. And instead of locking the chains and throwing away the key, I frayed the threads. The more I find, the more I figure out, the less I realize I actual know and more questions seem to come to mind.
I whistled out the ocean once more and from somewhere deep inside myself, I heard the response.
Oh, and for the war...
